Memoir Monday Idea: A Special Place (Then & Now)

My best friend and I went to Newport in August 2004. Since then, I’ve been back quite a few times, including yesterday, with Marc (my husband). Therefore, this Monday, I’m going to reflect on how my attitude and feelings towards Newport have changed in just a few short years.

If you need inspiration, then try thinking about a special place… somewhere that means a lot to you. Then, think about why you have a special place in your heart for this location. Next, think about how you feel about your special place, years later. Third, think about how your special place shaped or changed you as a person. Finally, try to push yourself to think about how the location of your special place fits into the pattern of your life (i.e., who you are, how things normally happen to you, etc.).

Do come back tomorrow to link your post to the rest of the memoirists who are writing for the Memoir Monday Challenge.

  1. Great Prompt. I’m going to save it. I have a memoir all ready to go. With my new blog it seems to be all memoir. I love being ahead of the game, at least for Monday.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend, Stacey
