Presentations
As Dana wrote last week, Two Writing Teachers is on a short blogging break for the month of July. The team is keeping busy, though, while we recharge during this month. You can find Stacey presenting “Grammar Matters: Promoting Engagement, Strategic Instruction, and Reflection Using Mentor Texts” at the International Literacy Association Conference in Boston, MA on July 9th. Betsy will be presenting “Embedding Narrative Qualities Across Genres to Reach the Soul and Voice of the Writer (K-5)” at nErDcamp Michigan on July 11th, during the 1:15-2:05 session. If you are at either event, we hope you stop by to say hello to Stacey and Betsy! Summer is filled with so many amazing professional development opportunities for educators!

I wasn’t sure what to put, but glancing at some of the titles, I think I can do this. I don’t consider myself a writer, but that’s a challenge I’m meeting head-on this summer. My blog will be mish-mash of personal and school.
