Board games are a very good thing. When the girls first moved home we played them all the time. I’d love to write more, but our Internet has quit & posting from my phone is a little clunky. So this Slice is quite simply: Board games are a very good thing.

Agreed. Nothing like a little old fashioned boardgaming fun.

Board games are excellent most excellent. Probably because they are generally a fairly simple way to help a family to interact and enjoy time with each other. . . and they don’t depend on internet service 🙂

I too am a big fan of board games. I believe that reading and playing games are two of the most beneficial activities for children. Playing outside too! ~Theresa

Before they moved last month, we have had the thrill of picking up our grandson for months, while his dad was at a new job, & Mom was working. We played so many board games; it’s an activity that I grew up with, & I treasure the memories playing dominoes with my grandparents. Now I have sweet memories of the time with my grandson. Board games are indeed “a very good thing”.

My daughter is soooo into games! She and her husband come for the weekend with a bagful of their favorites. Currently the top pick is “Rage” – a card game.

It’s like eating a meal together when you play a board game, only much more fun!

I think board games are one of the greatest ways to share time with our children. In age where XBox and Playstation tend to be all anyone thinks about, it is nice just to sit and play a board game. One of the traditions my boys and I started was to purchase a new board game anytime we went out of town. It was a fun way to kill time in the hotel room and brought us closer as a family. Good slice!

I think I love board games so much because of the way so many things are rapidly being replaced by digital counterparts. There’s nothing quite like sitting around a table, snacks in hand with board games and laughter at the ready!

Still a nice slice–short. But sweet. And true.
