Lines I’m sitting with…
We owe it to people who are suffering to savor everything good and beautiful we have in our lives. Not that we should deny bad things or turn our backs on them. But if suffering is contagious, then why isn’t joy? Which virus do we want to spread? We don’t help someone who’s miserable by being miserable–we only add to the world’s misery.

Five days until the March Challenge begins and I’m already (still?) publishing late at night. SIGH. Pairs well with the chaos of our house in the morning – like this morning, for example. https://persistenceandpedagogy.com/2026/02/24/lost-and-found-2/

My comment failed on your site for some reason. What I wrote is this: Carol – I’ve been in the winter doldrums too. I’ve trying to fend them off by reading and drinking tea. It’s helping a bit, and today we have blue sky! That also helps tremendously. Your poem is beautiful and is the photo.
