Lines I’m sitting with…

We owe it to people who are suffering to savor everything good and beautiful we have in our lives. Not that we should deny bad things or turn our backs on them. But if suffering is contagious, then why isn’t joy? Which virus do we want to spread? We don’t help someone who’s miserable by being miserable–we only add to the world’s misery.

    1. My comment failed on your site for some reason. What I wrote is this: Carol – I’ve been in the winter doldrums too. I’ve trying to fend them off by reading and drinking tea. It’s helping a bit, and today we have blue sky! That also helps tremendously. Your poem is beautiful and is the photo.

    1. I’m not sure why but my comment wouldn’t post on your site. This is what I wanted to say: Oh Anita, you bring me back 40 years when I taught nursery school and made Stone Soup with my students. Such fun! Thank you!
