Welcome back to the second day of our month-long writing challenge!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
I’m prioritizing commenting on new(er) Slicers‘ blogs first this year. If you’re new to our writing community, be sure to say so when leaving the link to your comment! This helps longtime members of our writing community to welcome you. (BTW: Seasoned Slicers, I’ve seen many of you welcoming our first-year Slicers. I genuinely appreciate your congeniality!)
Multi-Lit Friday is an opportunity for participants who write in other languages to share their slice of life stories in another language! The first Multi-Lit Friday is tomorrow (March 3rd).
Looking forward to this weekend, we’ll have a Slicer Meet-Up for anyone who’d like to schmooze informally. The gathering is limited to 100 people, so fill out the form (below) by Saturday, 3/4 at 6:00 PM EST. I’ll email the Zoom link to everyone who signs up late on Saturday evening.

BE INSPIRED
Jennifer Floyd, a long-time Slicer, shared a piece about her gripe journal. Her post reminded me that it can be cathartic to gripe publically. Consider griping — if and when you need to — by writing a slice of life story. You may feel better once you press publish!

Hi there! Jeez, what a drive home. That must have been scary experiencing road rage like that and then an accident right in front of you. It has happened to me a few times where I’ve been given the gun symbol and nearly forced off the road by manic drivers. Since those experiences, I’ve learned to coast in the middle lane. It makes for a much smoother ride to work than the fast lane. Safe driving tomorrow with all this snow coming. 🙂

Hi there Inez! I agree with you that yoga is hard, but with time it gets easier. I took the same IU my first year in the district. I enjoyed it but it was hard coming home late because my kids were all waiting for me to come home and cook dinner and help with homework. You know, mom stuff. I’m now starting Pilates. To me it’s similar to yoga and I do it at home. That’s the only way I can fit it in my day. Keep it up!
