It’s the thirty-first and final day of the 13th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!
BE INSPIRED

PRIZES
Due to COVID-19, we are anticipating that prize deliveries may be delayed. However, we are still allocating the prizes now. Please circle back on April 6th to the prize announcement post.
IMPORTANT: All forms must be filled out by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 4 in order to be eligible for prizes.
The Spirit of the Challenge Prize

This is a big one. If you are nominating someone for this prize, that person should embody the spirit of the SOLSC community. They not only write every day, but they also leave meaningful comments, supporting and mentoring other members in the community. If you have someone who meets this description, then fill out this form, and that person might win a big prize.
The First-Timer Prize
If this is your first year taking the SOLSC, you wrote every day for the entire month, and you left at least three comments for other slicers every day, then you are eligible for a First-Timer Prize. Fill out the form.
The Returner Prize
You are eligible for the Returner prize if 2020 is NOT your first year of participation, you wrote every day for the entire month, and you left at least three comments for other slicers every day. Fill out the form.
The Oak Prize
Did you know oak is the traditional gift for a fifth wedding anniversary? If this is your fifth year taking the SOLSC, you wrote daily for the entire month, and you left at least three comments for other slicers every day, then you are eligible for an Oak Prize. Fill out the form.
The Decade Prize
Ten years is a long time! If this is your tenth year taking the SOLSC, you wrote every day for the entire month, and you left at least three comments for other slicers every day, then you are eligible for a Decade Prize. Fill out the form.
The Baker’s Dozen Prize
This is the thirteenth year of the SOLSC. If you are an original slicer, first of all, WOW! If you have written every day for the entire month, commented on three or more posts each day, and 2020 is your thirteenth year of participation, then you are eligible for a Baker’s Dozen Prize. Fill out the form.
The Latecomer Prize
This year, we welcomed several latecomers to the SOLSC given the extraordinary circumstances. If, since March 17 or before, you wrote every day and you left at least three comments for other slicers, then you are eligible for the Latecomer Prize. Please fill out the form.
The Welcome Wagon Prize, Part 2
Did we mention how grateful we are for our Welcome Wagon volunteers? We did, but we are mentioning it again! If you served as a Welcome Wagon Volunteer this year, then please fill out the form.
SOLSC Classic Prizes
Finally, because we are staying true to some traditions, we have the Classic Prizes. No matter how many years you have been a member of the SOLSC community, if you wrote every day for the entire month, and you left at least three comments for other slicers every day, then you are eligible for a Classic Prize. Fill out the form.
I convinced my grandson to participate in SOL for the students. Please read his first attempt at writing. He blew me away with this poem about the virus.

Appreciate all of you for popping by with thoughtful comments and even just taking time to read. It’s been a hectic month (duh) so I haven’t read as many Slices as I’d have liked, but I really appreciate the community of writers here. It’s been a true bright spot in an emotional and challenging month. Gratitude to you all, and please, keep on writing! 🙂
