“I write only because
There is a voice within me
That will not be still”
― Sylvia Plath, Letters Home
Welcome, Tuesday slicers. It is the last Tuesday in February…four days from the start of our March Slice of Life Story Challenge. I, for one, am hoping that the voice within me will not be still for the month of March. Most of all, I am looking forward to reading slices and drawing inspiration from this amazing writing community every single day. If you are planning to participate, please take a moment to check out Stacey’s post about our Slicer Data Form which will help us with timely prize distribution in April.
For now, however, it is time to write your Slice, share your link, and give some comments to (at least three) other slicers. If you’re leaving your comment early in the day, please consider returning this evening or tomorrow to read some of our evening posters’ slices.
I teach Writing Workshop, Language Arts and Social Studies to sixth graders at a middle school in suburban New Jersey. This blog is my attempt to capture all the "stuff" that goes into my teaching life - the planning, the dreaming, the reading, the preparing, the hoping and (above all) the kids.
