Stacey’s Memoir Monday Post
I’m teaching George Ella Lyon’s “Looking at Your Place” Lesson later today. Therefore, I thought it would be nice for me to get in the mindset that the kids need to be in when they do this.
I decided to try going through the steps using my late-Grandparents’ apartment in Florida as “my place.” Though it was never a legal address of mine, it felt like a home away from home since I was there many, many times in the 29 years that one or both of them lived there.
I have not finished the final step, the memoir, about my Grandpa’s 80th Birthday when we flew down to FL to surprise him. I will get to it, but it’s something I do not wish to rush. In the meantime, here’s what I have.

It’s clearly a G.E.L. kind of day … I was making lesson plans for my classes and plotting in some Lyon for the kids I’ll start teaching tomorrow night and the group I’ll get in another two weeks!

Great focus of writing. I’m holding on to this for next week.
Thanks Stacey

I worked off George Ella Lyons this week too. How odd is that?
