You’ve made it through the first weekend of the challenge! Be on the lookout today for stories and moments that inspire you.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Reminder: The daily “Call for Slice of Life Stories” starts at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (New York time zone). We consider the day to end at midnight Eastern Time because we have participants from six continents. Comments can close as early as midnight the next day after the post has been live for 24 hours. Usually, the daily call for slice-of-life stories stays open until the following day because our co-author team is asleep at midnight. If you share your slice-of-life story link after 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, please post it in the next day’s call for slice-of-life stories.
- Don’t see your post in the comments? Occasionally comments will be sent to spam or require approval. If this happens to you, don’t fret–we are on the lookout for these posts and usually approve them within a few hours. If you experience these tech issues, feel free to email our support team or a TWT co-author (see the Support resources below).
- Multi-Lit Fridays are back this year! Participants are encouraged to blog in another language. The first Multi-Lit Friday will be on March 7.
BE INSPIRED
Some stories make you laugh. Others make you cry. And some jump off the page because they are so real and relatable.
Today’s Be Inspired post from Ona Gabriel is just that: a story in verse that feels a little bit like it might be about any one of us. If you’re looking for a piece that captures both voice and heart (and is sure to bring a smile to your face!), check out Ona’s story “Kitchen Lessons” on her blog On a Thought.
SUPPORT
If you encounter any issues with non-working links, problems with your permalink, or a permalink causing an image to appear in the comment section, our Slicer Troubleshooting Team is here to help. The team comprises four experienced Slicers: Glenda Funk, Fran McCrackin, Joanne Toft, and Peter von Euler. (Click here for a short tutorial to help you find your permalink and link your slice-of-life story to this post.)
For inquiries, kindly email us instead of leaving them in the comments below or on social media. We appreciate your patience as we receive many emails during the initial days of the challenge. We will respond to all emails as soon as possible.
Please direct specific questions to the appropriate co-author.
- If your last name starts with A-D, email Betsy Hubbard[at]betsymhubbard[at]gmail.com.
