Whether you’re a seasoned slicer or new to the challenge, give yourself a pat on the back today! It’s the last weekday of the challenge!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
It’s our final Multilingual Friday of the month. This is an opportunity for participants to share their slice of life stories in another language. Jennifer Mitchell, from the blog, I hablo espanglish, inspired the Multilingual Friday idea for multilingual slicers in March of 2022. Take a look here, at her post titled, ¿el primavierno? for a look at what a #MultiFri slice is like. You can also join in today or any other Friday this month! Grab the badge below:
BE INSPIRED
One of my favorite things about Slice of Life is gathering new ideas to push myself as a writer. This week I’ve seen and tried out Top Three lists and posts where I focus on being present in the moment, both inspired by other slicers. I’ve also seen several writers try out Six Word Stories, and I was especially captivated by the way Ryan Graybill approached this style of writing in his post “Long Story Short.” Not only does he write a collection of six-word stories, but he also unpacks how to approach them and why they are a great exercise to build your writing muscles. You can find all of Ryan’s writing on his blog, Loud Dreams.
