Self-Assessment: From the Archives

Assessment appears in a writing workshop in multiple ways. Melanie Meehan spells this out in a post from a series on assessment titled “What Constitutes Assessment.” For this archive post, I’m focused on how self-assessment can appear in the classroom, from evaluating ourselves as teachers to students evaluating themselves as writers and learners.

Over the years, the co-authors have shared many posts tackling the topic of assessment related to student agency and classroom practices. Below, I’m sharing some of the various ways self-assessment can emerge.
