Welcome to the second day of the 12th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! What a thrill yesterday was! I had the opportunity to reconnect with long-time writing friends and meet some new bloggers too!
Please check out today’s announcements and the “Be Inspired” post and quote before you drop the permalink to your slice of life story.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
I’ve streamlined the essential information into a slideshow so the daily calls for slice of life stories aren’t cluttered with text. Even if you’re back for your 12th challenge, please read through the essential information before checking out today’s writing inspiration or leaving the link to your slice of life story.
A special welcome to the first-time Slicers who are joining us this year! Kelsey Corter and Kathleen Sokolowski will be using the participant information form you filled out (Click here if you haven’t filled it out yet.) to match you up with a member of our Welcome Wagon.
BE INSPIRED
Alaina Feliks is new to the Slice of Life Community this year. She joined us for the first time last month. Her post, “This is 42,” caught my eye since she wrote about her age — and what it means — in a deep way. Click here to read Alaina’s post now.

I have so done that very same thing, waited till the last minute before a storm and then said – note to self “do not go shopping last minute”. Then I do it again a few weeks later, sometimes I leave with no groceries, because the stress of the crowd is overwhelming. Hope your winter closes out on a good note!

I have always loved visiting lighthouses. Being a Colorado landlubber, I have only visited a few in my life but I am struck by how essential they are or were before technology.
