The 12th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge begins on Friday, March 1st!

If you’re still on the fence about participating, please read one — or both — of these pieces I’ve written (before you fill out the form below) about being a teacher who writes:

If you’re not 100% convinced to take the Slice of Life Story Challenge, then take a look at the incredible prizes you could win if you fully participate in our month-long writing challenge.

If you’re ready to commit to being a part of our month-long writing challenge, then please fill out the following form even if you filled it out last year. (We retire our database every year.) It will help the co-author team keep track of who is participating in the Slice of Life Story Challenge. Further, it helps us contact you if you’ve won a mid-month prize or if there’s a problem with one of the links you leave.

This year, we are asking participants to complete this form no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on Fri., 3/1/19 in order to be in the running for prizes. This form will close on the morning of March 2nd. In keeping with the spirit of a month-long challenge, it is important to participate fully all thirty-one days.

I am a literacy consultant who focuses on writing workshop. I've been working with K-6 teachers and students since 2009. Prior to that, I was a fourth and fifth-grade teacher in New York City and Rhode Island.
