Words that are Speaking to Me

For hours, she wrote, attempting each night to complete ten pages of her life. There was so much to consider, so many things in danger of being left out. Just be patient, she told herself, and with the mounting pages, the strength of her writing grew.

  1. What a beautiful book! Definitely one of my all time favorites and one that I love reading with my kids. We read the last few sections together, out loud, in a circle, in one sitting and we just sit and cry. So wonderful. The imagry of Liesel writing her story down in the basement is so beautiful and poignant–thanks for reminding us how important it is to share our stories with this thoughtful quote!

  3. I absolutely loved the brilliance of The Book Thief. It grabbed me right in at the first page and it was hard to put down. It fascinated me and educated me to say the least.
I would hope that my writing grew stronger over time and pages. Sometimes it can be so intimidating. This quote gives me hope for my own writing.
