Today I drove more than 130 miles.
Today I worked with grades one, two, six, and nine.

Today I am a proud owner of three guppies, compliments of preschool.
Today I wore my favorite necklace, a gift from Stacey, and a reminder of my role as a mom.
Today I read poetry with eight year olds.
Today I laughed at the joke of a three year old.
Today I insisted on a time out for a five year old.
Today I hugged my children again and again and again.
Today I cried.
Today I prayed.
Today I am thankful for little blessings.
Oh, I like this structure, too. I might try that before the month of slices is done!
(As you can see, I’m trying to catch up on all the slicers I haven’t been able to read this month. I hope you don’t mind being bombarded by all my comments!)

I agree with Mary Helen…I like how the slice is a bit different and the repeating line is soothing.

Ruth, I want to be like you when I grow up. I love your style and playfulness with words. I also would like to try your writing style out. I seem to write with too many words. You grace your writing with few words that grasp the heart.

This is a neat structure. I may have to try it tomorrow since the events on my way to dinner are way too scary for this kind of heartfelt structure.

Marvelous post! I find the structure intriguing. It’s cool to see your complex day captured in 13 lines. Inspiring post; mind if I play copycat and try it?
