Click here to download the SOLSC Buttons Ruth created.
Click here to read about the history of the SOLSC (just scroll down once you arrive at the Challenges Page).
If you wrote yesterday, then please check the spreadsheet below for the handle (i.e., name) you used in case you didn’t post under your given name. First, please make sure you’re on here if you wrote yesterday. Second, please post with the same handle throughout the month so it’s easier for Ruth and I to keep track of for the giveaway. I am a literacy consultant who has spent over a decade working with teachers to improve the teaching of writing in their classrooms. While I work with teachers and students in grade K-6, I'm a former fourth and fifth-grade teacher so I have a passion for working with upper elementary students.
I'm the author of Craft Moves (Stenhouse Publishers, 2016) and the co-author of Jump Into Writing (Zaner-Bloser, 2021), Welcome to Writing Workshop (Stenhouse Publishers, 2019), and Day By Day (Stenhouse, 2010).
Oh! And I also meant to say- I love how wonderfully supportive everyone is. I know I’m not the best writer in the world, but I’m trying. So many people left comments on my slice, which just felt so rewarding. Thank you, Stacey and Ruth, for hosting this challenge that allows such writerly support!
I promise, my life is normally overwhelming and full of sunshine and lollipops. Just waiting for the 3rd thing and stories will be far more pleasant and uplifting 🙂
