The Eagle and The Bear is a poem by David J. Pipkin. After having a trying day yesterday, this poem, which seems to be about strength, seemed appropriate for Poetry Friday.

The Eagle and the Bear

The eagle’s strength to compare that
of the bear this is how they fair the bear
can rip apart anything standing there
yet the eagle can fly through the air
the mighty physical strength of the bear must
stay on the ground in a limited area
