Schools & Technology

As I may have mentioned, some of my students (past and present) have begun blogging. Uber cool, but uber risky if they are not monitored closely by me and/or their parent.

I found some great suggestions for student technology routines over at the P.S. 124 Blog. However, I’d LOVE to learn more about other schools’ blogging policies for elementary school kids.

If you, or your school, has something that fits the bill, would you mind leaving a comment on this post? THANKS!!!

  1. Hey Stacey,
Thanks for the kind words about the PS 124 blogs!

I administer the blogs for 124, and a few other schools. We established our rules for student blogging through the Children’s Online Protection Act (COPPA).

My media literacy org put together a privacy page on our website, The Media Spot, that goes into a little more detail than the 124 page.

Thanks again for the comments. I look forward to poking around your website!
