When I was at Borders yesterday, I found myself sucked into buying a tiny book by Mitchell Uscher, which is a collection of quotes about teachers and teaching. I just wanted to share a few of the quotes that are inside it, which inspired me this morning.
“Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.” –Margaret Mead
“What you give of yourself is priceless.” –Oprah Winfrey
“Education is the most powerful tool you can have.” –Gene Simmons
“Treat a person as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat him as he could be, and he will become what he should be.” –Jimmy Johnson

I thought the book was wonderful and gave me much food for thought.
