Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 27 of the March SOLSC #SOL24

You can count the days left in March on just one hand!

Take a moment today to celebrate how far you’ve come as a writer this month and all of the new connections you’ve made with others in our community!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Having trouble with comments going to spam? Several slicers are having comments repeatedly marked as spam. We understand how frustrating that can be, and we want the March challenge to be smooth and fun!

If your comments have gone to spam on our site, please e-mail your assigned co-author (information below), and copy that day’s host. Let us know around when you tried to post, and we’ll do our best to approve your comment quickly.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

BE INSPIRED

I appreciate the Slice of Life Story Challenge because so often I see experiences I’ve had in life captured in others’ writing. This is the heart of March for me: connecting with others, gaining a deeper understanding of myself, and experiencing a deep sense of trust and belonging.

One slicer who has reached me on this level is Ona Gabriel with her blog On a Thought. In her most recent post, entitled “Be Still,” she crafted a piece in which she captured her thoughts and feelings about a big transition in her teaching life. Each line was so familiar to my teacher heart: the excitement, the uncertainty, the anxiety, and the hope that accompanies change. If you’re looking for a post that will both resonate with you and inspire you to capture your own thoughts and feelings about big life events, check out her slice!
