Day 24 of the March SOLSC! #SOL23

It’s the 24th day of the 16th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! It’s also Multi-Lit Friday! This is an opportunity for participants to share a post written in a language other than (or in addition to) English. If you do, let us know which language is featured in your blog when you post your permalink below.

Write. Share. Give.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

MULTI-LIT TIP: Don’t avoid posts in languages you don’t read. Right click on any post to see if your browser supports translation. I like to read the post as best I can first; then (in Google Chrome) I click to translate and spend time toggling back and forth to admire the beauty of the slice in both languages!

The Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge is almost here. Beginning this Sunday, March 26th, Classroom SOLSC posts go live on every Sunday morning though the end of April. The posts are meant to provide tips, inspiration and encouragement for educators who are coaching students in the challenge. See the overview post for more information and sign up here when you’re ready!

BE INSPIRED

Today’s inspiration comes from Jennifer whose Multi-Lit post, “Esa vieja canción” uses song lyrics to take us back through memories connected to “that old song.” Music, in any language, can be a great source for our slices. Her slice goes one step further for our Multi-Lit experience and includes a YouTube video of the song so that everyone can enjoy it.

BONUS CHALLENGE: As a preview to our weekend commenting challenge, I encourage you respond in the language of the post (even if it is not your own), even if just to point out a word or phrase that caught your eye.
