I’m so excited to be hosting my first month of SOL as a co-author of TWT. Each Tuesday of October, I will be sharing words of important people in my life who have inspired me to write. In turn, I know I will continue to be inspired by you and your stories.
In I Am a Writer I shared my earliest (and still very real) fears with publishing writing:
“Fear that no one would read it.
Fear that no one would like it.
Fear that I could try and fail.”
Upon sharing these fears, my dear friend told me these words that I return to every time my fears creep back in:
This is true for each of the students we teach. This is true for each of us. Our stories deserve to be told, and without them, the world is missing out.
WRITE a slice of life story on your own blog.
SHARE a link to your post in the comments section.
GIVE comments to at least three other SOL bloggers.
Happy to share my slice 🙂

So I told a child he was doing a disservice to the world by not writing his stories. I think he thought I was nuts, but he wrote. Thanks for the words, Kelsey!
