I’m revisiting an old picture book manuscript that received rejections primarily because it’s a story about undocumented children and family separation. It is a topic agents didn’t seem to have an appetite for a couple of years ago.
Like many people, I’m at a bit of a loss with how to help the families being separated along our Southern Border. On Sunday night, I decided it’s time to breathe new life that old manuscript since true stories — like the one I have to tell — have made it into the mainstream headlines.
