Slice of Life Story Challenge · writing workshop

Day 26 of the March SOLSC #sol18

Welcome to the twenty-sixth day of the 11th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

Finish strong. It’s Day 26. Write, read, and encourage others with comments. By this time, you know the comments that matter to you as a writer. Create those for others!

For people who are using Blogspot as their platform, other bloggers have had issues with commenting, and we have been working hard behind the scenes to figure out how to make it easier for everyone. Thank you to one of our slicers, Ashley Brown, who has helped figure out effective ways to change the settings. If you select ALWAYS for “Comment Moderation” and ANYONE for “Who Can Comment”, those annoying Captchas shouldn’t show up. (It just means that comments must be moderated.)

Sometimes taking another perspective is just what we need in order to be inspired. Fran Haley of Lit Bits and Pieces wrote a post from her dog’s perspective earlier in the month. Go read about the world according to Henry if you need some inspiration.

For even more inspiration about what how dogs can inspire you, check out the tips from The Writing Sisters.

Need to contact a co-author with a question? Please email us rather than leaving your question within your comment (below). Thank you, in advance, for your patience with us. We receive a high volume of emails during the first week of the challenge.

  • If your last name begins with the letters A – I, please email questions to Betsy, betsymhubbard{at}
  • If your last name begins with the letters J – R, please email questions to Melanie, meehanmelanie{at}
  • If your last name begins with the letters S – Z, please email questions to Stacey, stacey{at}

Please note: We’re unable to respond to challenge-related questions via Facebook and Twitter.

  1. Feeling acutely aware of my shortcomings will hopefully help me in the classroom
