A few announcements:

New Co-Authors

On Sunday, May 29th, we added two new co-authors to our TWT family. Click here to find out who they are and to wish them well.

Author Spotlight Series

We hosted our second Author Spotlight Series last week, which featured a diverse group of authors and illustrators. Click here for a round-up of their guest blog posts. (N.B.: Each guest blog post includes a book giveaway.)

Teachers Write

Kate Messner, Jen Vincent, and Gae Polisner have been co-hosting Teachers Write for the past few summers. Many Slicers have participated in this extraordinary opportunity. Click here if you’re interested in learning more about this virtual summer writing camp, which begins on June 27th.

Will you be attending ILA in Boston?

Are you a Slicer who plans to attend the ILA 2016 Conference this summer? Beth and I will be attending ILA and we’re planning a meet-up. If you’ll be there, I hope you’ll join us for a Slicer Breakfast on Sunday, July 10th at 8:00 a.m. Please e-mail me at stacey[at]staceyshubitz[dot]com by June 15th to let me know if you would like to join us for breakfast. Once I have a head count, I will email the name and address of the restaurant, which will be within walking distance from the Sheraton Boston, to everyone who has responded.

We hope to see you in July!

  1. Long summer days leave me feeling nostalgic as evidenced by today’s slice. I’m glad to be able to slow down and think and write after three weeks of end-of-the-school-year activities!
