No shadow
No stars
No moon
No care
November
It only believes
In a pile of dead leaves
And a moon
That’s the color of bone
Tom Waits, ‘November’
Do you wish your writing had stronger imagery, or sounded smooth, like the lyrics of a song? Well, today is your day! Practice your craft and post your slice. The more you practice, the stronger your writing will be.
Welcome to the Slice of Life Story Challenge this Tuesday. We are so glad you are joining us today.
Remember:
Write your Slice of Life Story on your own blog.

Thank you TWT for being here even when I’m not. I miss you each week when posting time comes and goes and I haven’t reached my weekly goal. I’m just so glad to jump in again this week! This is the first in a series of tributes to my DAD. While it isn’t exactly a moment… it is about a series of meaningful life moments.

What a great way to frame an argument for anything you support or don’t support. It definitely grabbed my attention! So….just about everything teachers are now forced to do will kill a love of reading. That makes those read-alouds and shared reading sessions so important”, as well as shopping for books to read” from nondesignated book bins or one titled “Just for Fun!” Or online book reviews that can also be shared orally/aurally with classmates. There are ways around these mandates…we just need to find them and use them!
