Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 12 of the March SOLSC! #sol14

WRITE. Every day in March write a slice of life story on your own blog. SHARE. Link your post in the comments on each daily call for slice of life stories here at TWT. GIVE. Comment on at least three other slice of life stories/blogs.
WRITE a slice of life story on your own blog.
SHARE a link to your post in the comments section.
GIVE comments to at least three other SOLSC bloggers.

I recently received a review copy of Whatever You Are, Be a Good One: 100 Inspirational Quotations (Chronicle Books, 2014) It is hand-lettered by Lisa Congdon. In an effort to shake things up for the next two days, I thought I’d include some of the quotations for your viewing pleasure. You can find them in the “Be Inspired” section.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:

  • Please use the SAME email/username information on all of your March comments.

BE INSPIRED:

Anna Gratz Cockerille (@annagcockerille) is the new Slicer on the TWT Team.  She created a new blog for her slice of life stories and has shared some incredible poems and prose.  The piece I want to share with you today is “Everybody is Somebody’s Baby.” Anna recently found herself to be made uncomfortable by a stranger in the Subway. Instead of judging him, she considers an alternate point of view. Read through Anna’s slice and see if you can look at a situation through someone else’s eyes (and write about it) today.

  1. I love me some Annie Lamott in the morning! And why not steal a few of her lines …
    🙂

    Believe in the castles
    and not just the tide.
    Believe in the ocean
    and then stand aside.
    Write words with imagination
    Build stories out of air.
    Connect amidst wonder.
    Write without fear.

My real Slice post is all about a tiny pencil. How does he write with that?

  2. Thank you for the quotes. I loved Anna’s piece about perspective. And I love the suggestions for inspirations. I am continuing some thoughts on writing rituals/ habits.
