I am sitting here, humbled and grateful. My school hosted a Book Party/Signing for me yesterday. I am fortunate to work for a school who values professional development and celebrates together when good things happen. With each person who walked through the door, my smile grew bigger. I am thankful to work among the best in education. It was an afternoon of really cool cake (check out the photo), delicious food, and special people. Principals, teachers, coaches, friends, former students, and my parents, husband, and kids came to the celebration. When we were on our way home my son said, “Let’s hear it for the Book Girl!” And the girls joined him:
Hip-hip hooray!
Hip-hip hooray!
Hip-hip hooray!

Hip-hip hooray, indeed!

Woo-hoo! Was so sorry I couldn’t be there, but it looks like you had an amazing time. The cakes are so cool!

What a wonderful tribute to a great teacher and colleague! Your teachers and students are lucky to have you. I can’t wait to have my very own copy and one for our school library.
