My One Little Word of 2009

Ali Edwards’ Post (yesterday) got me going with the creation of my “placard” that contains my One Little Word of 2009. I toyed with a variety of words to help me capture what I want 2009 to look like for me; to help guide me through the year just like the word balance guided me through 2008. The words I considered were:

  • rejuvenate
  • restore
  • resilient
  • vitality
  • wellness
  • The word wellness truly captures the journey I have been attempting to take to recover from the neurosurgery I had in 2007. First, I needed balance in my life to provide me with the time to heal. Now that I have found that balance, I am going to be on the road to wellness.

I created an image that I’m going to print out and put into various corners of my life to remind me of my word, just like I did this past year. This constant reminder should be what I need to help me achieve a healthy body so I can feel restored to how I felt long before the surgery (I’d like to feel as good as I did before the MVA occurred in 1998, which eventually led to me having to have surgery). We’ll have to wait and see what 2009 brings…
