A Little Copywriting

This afternoon, I’m going to teach a Social Studies Lesson about voting I found on It’s a lesson about having kids persuade adults to vote in a non-partisan way. I created a PowerPoint to go along with the lesson. Feel free to use it if you’re interested in teaching the same lesson before November 4th.

Essentially, as you’ll see in Slide #6, the kids are going to create some ad copy to persuade eligible voters to vote in November. Additionally, they’ll create artwork for their posters.

  1. Stacy, this was great. Our county curriculum map requires us to teach persuasive writing 2nd nine weeks. My students have been stumbling and this will be a big help.
