I was on two home visits yesterday. At the first one, the little girl asked me, “Do you know when my birthday is?” I sure did! I knew it because I already put all of my students’ contact information into Outlook, which I syched to my iTouch. However, when I realized that I have four September birthdays and haven’t made their birthday cards yet, I realized I had to get to work this morning.
I created all of the September through November birthday cards. That being said, this is one of my favorites:
A Poem on a Birthday Card is a lovely way to show students that poetry matters in your classroom.
