ruth’s poem: 2 of 8.

New Family

There used to be three —
Now there’s five.

There used to be quiet —
Now there’s noise.

There used to be tidy-ness —
Now there’s clutter.

There used to be prayers for children —
Now there are blessings
Because of kids who needed a home
And a home that’s now full.

  1. Just wanted to pass along a note and say how much I miss seeing you around, but love the fact you get to spend so much time with your family right now!!!

  2. I like how you balanced the hopefulness and the blessings that came.
I can also see the clutter, since it all around me right now as I write. Toys, books, etc … all signs of an active household and three young kids.
