There’s a certain transformation that happens around this time of year in my district. Most of the standardized testing is out of the way, “ABC countdowns” have begun in earnest, and there’s chatter all around about assignments and rooms for next year, supply orders, summer plans.
For me, it’s a frenzied leap from project to project, task to task, without the joy or benefit of reflection. So, for today’s “From the Archive” post, I thought I’d slow myself down long enough to explore ways to savor and enjoy these last days with my students.
Today’s search through the archive reveals Betsy Hubbard’s reconnection with joy and wonder, Lanny Ball’s focus on the year ahead, Stacey Shubitz’s and Tara Smith’s reflection, and Ruth Ayres’s crowdsourced list of end-of-year rituals.
Enjoy!

I totally forgot about the letters-back-to-students post when I recorded last week’s Tip for Tomorrow! Thanks for reminding me of it. 🙂
