Welcome to the 27th day of our 31-day writing challenge! You can count the number of days remaining on just one hand today–what a cause for celebration! Remember to share the link to your blog in the comments, and comment on at least three other Slicers’ stories.
BE INSPIRED
Throughout this month, I have seen many writers blend words and images to create a vivid story for their readers. Margaret Simon, blogger at Reflections on the Teche, takes this approach up a level by nudging us all to consider perspective and the power of revision. In her slice “Greyscale,” Margaret recounts her experience learning from an artist. She showcases his inspiration next to a photograph of his work, leaving readers with the question, “Perspective, vision, erasing…how can we translate this instruction to our own writing?”
Today, as you write, consider Margaret’s question in your own craft: How do we bring our perspectives and visions to life with our words?
SUPPORT
If you encounter any issues with non-working links, problems with your permalink, or a permalink causing an image to appear in the comment section, our Slicer Troubleshooting Team is here to help. The team comprises four experienced Slicers: Glenda Funk, Fran McCrackin, Joanne Toft, and Peter von Euler. (Click here for a short tutorial to help you find your permalink and link your slice-of-life story to this post.)
For inquiries, please email us rather than leaving them in the comments below or on social media. We appreciate your patience as we receive a high volume of emails in the early days of the challenge. We will respond to all emails promptly.
