Write. Share. Give.

Welcome to the 26th day of our 31-day writing challenge! I’m excited and grateful to host the final days of this year’s challenge. I’ve loved reading your posts, commenting, and writing alongside all of you since the beginning of the month, and I’m honored to close out the month. Remember to share the link to your blog in the comments, and comment on at least three other Slicers’ stories.

BE INSPIRED

Last week, Leah shared her work with the Gateway Writing Project’s place-based writing initiatives in her TWT blog post. Today’s Be Inspired features the work of Dr. Tracy Brosch, leader of the Gateway Writing Project and fellow March slicer at Cooked Up By Brosch. Tracy’s slices this month zoom in on a different location each day, a fun and unique twist on the March challenge. This month, she’s written from the doctor’s office, Forest Park, a mulch pile, and her own kitchen.

In her most recent post, The Courtyard, Tracy tells a story within a story about the property next to her house, a huge pile of discarded rocks, and how she plans to turn them into something beautiful in her courtyard. Her slice features photos, vivid descriptions, and possibilities.

The team comprises four experienced Slicers: Glenda Funk, Fran McCrackin, Joanne Toft, and Peter von Euler. (Click here for a short tutorial to help you find your permalink and link your slice-of-life story to this post.)

    1. Thanks for addressing an almost unspoken topic. No doctor has ever recommended HRT to me, although in fairness, I have never inquired. Menopause would definitely be more in the news and normed if men experienced it firsthand.
