Welcome to the Tuesday Slice of Life! Where I am right now, it’s winter. And when the cold and the wind and the snow send me shivering, I often retreat to poetry as a source of warmth. Here’s a little something from Wendell Berry, one of my favorites:
Suppose we did our work
like the snow, quietly, quietly,
leaving nothing out.

Publication day started with a slow breakfast and my son’s sweet question: “Are we having cake to celebrate tonight?”
What happened next was a funny conversation about who should order the cake, along with a reminder of the long, messy two-year journey that brought us to this day.
