Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 19 of the March SOLSC #SOL24

Congratulations! Today is the nineteenth day of the 17th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge! Today is my last day hosting the slice. It’s been a pleasure!

…and speaking of wonderful things, did you know that the Two Writing Teachers Podcast has now passed 500,000 downloads? That’s right! More than half a million downloads of Tips for Tomorrow, Digging Deeper, and Conversations with Colleagues.

Subscribe, rate and review wherever you get your podcasts, and let’s keep the great conversation coming!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Having trouble with comments going to spam? Several slicers are having comments repeatedly marked as spam. We understand how frustrating that can be, and we want the March challenge to be smooth and fun!

If your comments have gone to spam on our site, please e-mail your assigned co-author (information below), and copy that day’s host. Let us know around when you tried to post, and we’ll do our best to approve your comment quickly.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Do you want to show your commitment to this challenge with some new apparel, tech gear, or jewelry?  Visit our Cafepress store to purchase t-shirts, coffee mugs, water bottles, keychains, and more. All proceeds from our Cafepress store are donated to the Pajama Program.

BE INSPIRED

I appreciate the Slice of Life Challenge because it helps me get to know fellow writers. Through others’ posts, I learn about, understand, and connect to others’ experiences.

One writer who brings me that sense of connection is Cindy Chiu, of MsChiubookaWrites. She’s shared, with stunning accuracy and tenderness, how it feels to be in her stage of life: an adult caring for an elder. Her post Aging uses the elfchen form to articulate what it’s like to be in the caretaker role, and role reversal captures a whole spectrum of themes: love, patience, determination, defiance. And the honesty with which she portrays her experiences inspires me to examine my own place in life. Give her a visit!
