The Slice of Life Story Challenge began on Two Writing Teachers in March 2008. This March, we’ll host the 11th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge. Ever since the challenge began, the mission has remained the same: to support teachers who want to write daily. Teachers who write regularly can better support the students they teach in writing workshops daily.
In the weeks to come, the co-author team and I will provide you with information about prizes and the Sixth Annual Classroom Slice of Life Story Challenge. For now, here’s some basic information to get you energized for our March writing challenge. (Please note: There are three sections to the slide presentation below: new & returning slicers, new slicers, and returning slicers. Please read the sections that apply to you.

Are you excited about the 11th Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge? Do you need some motivation to commit? Please share your thoughts by leaving a comment.
I am looking forward to March. This will be my third year and I’ve joined the Welcome Wagon this year. Thank you so much for organizing and facilitating this wonderful opportunity.

We start planning in December. It’s a massive undertaking, but helping teachers grow as writers is a labor of love for all of us here at TWT. Delighted you’ll be taking the challenge again!
