For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
~T.S. Eliot, “Little Gidding”
How appropriate that the year ends on a Slice of Life Tuesday! Here’s to ending a wonderful year of meeting on Tuesdays to share our writing, our lives, our musings…and raising a toast to the new year to come, when we will continue to gather. Happy New Year wishes from all of us at Two Writing Teachers (Stacey, Anna, Betsy, Beth, Dana and myself) to all of you – may it be a year of blessings enjoyed and discovered, ties strengthened and renewed, memories cherished and crafted, adventures launched and celebrated…and writing. Let there be writing!
(Some Twitter updates for us to keep track of: the new hashtag for the Slice of Life Story Challenge for 2014 is #sol14. And the official Two Writing Teachers hashtag is #TWTBlog.)
Hello 2014!
Hope it is a year of blessings for everyone.

Well! I have to get my email deliveries for Two Writing Teachers’ blog to coincide with the Tuesday Slice!
Here’s to the proverbial new beginnings, with gratitude for what is already great in our lives that needs no change, just care and upkeep. And for the changes, here’s to courage!

Oh, Julianne! It is so normal to be nervous when our babies have to face any pain — no matter how old they are or how routine the procedure is. I wish her a speedy recovery (I hope the six months will fly!) so she can get back into the pool where she belongs soon.
Good luck today.
And, Happy New Year!

I’ll leave a comment on this very funny letter later (I’m on my phone now.). You make a compelling argument. We went with #sol14 merely because it’s 5 less characters, thereby giving people 5 more characters for their Tweets.
Thanks for the laugh this morning. I never thought about a hashtag’s retirement before!
