Chewing On This
I watched a version of this video several years ago. In preparation for a workshop I’m leading on Thursday with a group of Career Tech educators (think culinary arts and auto mechanics), I pulled it up to watch again. I was glad to find the video was updated last December. I’m struck by the reality of this video and the importance of teaching students how to think and discern meaning as opposed to using tools or memorizing facts. It makes me feel an urgency to help students learn to communicate with clarity and passion. This is the kind of learning they will need to be successful in jobs that haven’t even been invented yet. I hope this video is one you’ll want to watch again and again.

Unhurried. Finding the magic in the middle of living. Capturing a life of ridiculous grace + raw stories.
Wow. I saw a video like this years ago and the amount I’d SIFT is amazing! Thanks for posting! Lots to think about as an educator.

This reminder is powerful. Thinking deeply requires reflection. How often am I asking that of my students instead of just getting to the answer correct? Appreciate this post.

Overwhelming for me, so how do we prepare and care for the young people going through this?
