Purpose, Process, & Craft with Carl Anderson

Carl Anderson (aka: The Conferring Guy) has not only listened to the Beatles’ music; he has studied it.  He has determined by the Beatles wrote particular songs, how they wrote them, and what they did to write them well.  Carl shared what he has learned by studying the Beatles’ music with an audience of educators on the final day of the TCRWP Summer Writing Institute.

Here are my notes from Carl’s Keynote, which details the purpose, process, and craft behind the music of the Beatles.  If you know the Beatles’ songs, then perhaps you, too, will discover new purposes, processes, and craft moves you can name and use when you write or when you instruct your students to write.
