Slice of Life Story Challenge

Day 17 of 31: SOLSC

Slice of Life Story Challenge Button
We're delighted you are joining us for the Third Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge!

Today is the 17th day of our month-long writing challenge! Please link your Slice of Life Story, using the exact URL of the post you’re submitting today, to this post by leaving a comment before 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time today. Please scroll to the bottom of this post to leave the link to your writing for the day.

Thanks to everyone who submitted e-mails telling me about other Slicers whose comments have impacted your writing.  While lots of Slicers were recognized, there are two people whose names came up again and again: Bonnie and Elizabeth.  Their “supportive” comments have been “insightful.”  One person, who said both women have read and responded to her writing regularly, wrote:

Both always give me just a little bit more to think about in my own writing.  Both remind me to think about my audience when I write.

If you wrote to me about people other than Bonnie or Elizabeth, then please contact those bloggers, directly, and tell them what their comments have meant to you.  I’m sure they’d love to hear about the impact they’ve had on your writing.

Additional Notes:

  • Bonnie and Elizabeth: Please e-mail me your mailing address so I can pass it along to GirlGriot.

  • Please make the SOLSC Community stronger by reading and commenting on at least five other pieces of writing, that other people post, daily.

  • Click here or here to find out about prizes drawings, which will take place in early April.

  • Chronicle Books is providing ALL Slice of Life Story Challenge Participants with a 30% off discount & free shipping for any purchases made on their website during the month of March. The promo code is TWOWRITINGTEACHERS (all caps, no spaces).

  1. You made my day today! I usually get here early in the morning, but not today. I just delivered my slice and scrolled up to see what I missed and found your note. Thanks Slices. It’s a true pleasure to obsess about reading your Slices.
