MOM!
MOMMY!
MOMMA!
Three voices. Three expressions. Three times my heart is filled. Am I really a mother of three? Some things just take a bit of adjustment.
And then the pitter-patter of feet and the attack of six arms. And I know, deep in my bones that this is what I was made to be. A mother of three, who also loves to be an educator.
So we make it work. We’re all okay. We’re all filled with love and hugs and smiles. And I’m finding peace in returning to work, because I’m refining my art of balance.
Sometimes it’s these completely imperfect photos that I’m most apt to fall in love with. Home from being an educator, still in a skirt and being loved as a mom. Does life get any better?

All the names that mothers are called. Last week my nephew said, “BECKY!” and just grinned away at my sister’s shocked look. Where did you learn that? “Andrew” (His dad’s name!) I reassured her that she will go back to her mama and daddy names soon. Just don’t react. She said, “TOO LATE!”
