Stacey’s Slice of Life Story: Day #28

SOLSC Logo

Right after work I picked up all of the letters I created for my students so they could all take-home a piece of pottery when we have the next (ticket-bidding) Pottery Auction. I was pretty happy with the glazing results:

I decided to spend the next hour or so wrapping each one in newspaper (again) and in some brightly colored tissue paper. Furthermore, I got some ribbons so that the outside of each package is adorned, thereby making these little letters look more festive. Here they are, waiting to be given… 20 finished “all-purpose letters.”

  1. Lovely letters! I’m putting together little velvet pouches for the poems I’ll give my students for National Poetry Month, but I think I should take your cue and adorn the pouches a little.

  2. I think this is something that makes an elementary teacher so critical to the school experience.
High school teachers tend to blow off these details.
I applaud your efforts again Stacey. I am certain they make all the difference in the world.
