This past Saturday we had our Aliyat Hatan veKallah at our synagogue, which was essentially a pre-wedding blessing followed by a celebration. We were surrounded by family and friends, which made the day exceedingly special. Also, ten of my former students were in attendance, which touched me since they sat through a three hour service in such a respectful manner. I couldn’t have been prouder than I was on Saturday when they gave up part of their weekend to celebrate with me and Marc.
What an amazing day!
