WN Entry: Busy

I’m so busy.
Busy as a bee.
(What does that really mean?)
I wanted to write today,
but didn’t have the time
to write in prose,
the way I normally do.

So here I am
sitting here
writing this poem
so I can say that I wrote today.
It’s kind of like what kids do
when they want us to think they’ve
taken the time to write
when they haven’t.

Interesting…
how even the most writerly of teachers
can also
suffer
from being very busy
and not making time
to write.

  1. Oh how very true that is! I also wrote a poem today, for the same reason. And I convinced myself it counts. 🙂

I do love the poem, though!
