Poetry Friday in My Classroom

Last week I began having my students share poems (original or ones they love from other poets) on Friday mornings. Only one person signed up so far this week and I know he’s going to be absent today due to a medical appointment. I’m wondering if anyone else will sign up… I really hope so!

Some of my students have been writing in poetic form in their writer’s notebooks… I’m hoping they choose to share one of those.

  2. One of my students has a birthday tomorrow. Hence, I gave her birthday card to her today. I guess she liked the poem that was on it since she shared it at Poetry Circle this morning.
