One of the ways I’ve used this summer to grow is by noticing the small stories that are creating my life. These stories matter. Little did I know what an impact these little everyday stories would make on me not only as a person, but as an educator too.
Today in my writer’s notebook I made this list:
Why Stories Matter
-
They connect people.
-
They help make sense of the world.
-
They help make sense of the bundle of emotions whirling around inside me.
-
They influence actions.
-
They give hope.
-
They rejuvenate, refresh, and revitalize.
-
They create significance in one’s life.
