Congratulations! You have entered the tenth day of the March Slice of Life Challenge (SOLSC)! All of us here at Two Writing Teachers, as well as the entire community, are hoping you are finding this March Slice of Life Story Challenge to be rewarding, as you share your stories and “fill the cups” of other writers in our community with your generous comments and feedback.
Like our adult community, our student writing community thrives on comments and feedback. We invite our students to participate in the Classroom Challenge in hopes that they will be able to connect with other writers from around the community and the world. In the spirit of that global community, we are offering a brand new kind of commenting challenge. As part of the 11th Annual SOLSC, we present our first mid-month challenge! Are you ready?
Here is how it works:
- This weekend, Saturday, 3/10 and Sunday 3/11 (through 11:59 PM EDT), comment on 25 or more Classroom SOLSC posts, which can be accessed on this Padlet.
- Participants will have all day on Saturday, 3/10 and all day Sunday 3/11 to complete this commenting challenge.
- Participants must fill out the Google form embedded below NO LATER THAN Monday, 3/12 at noon Eastern Daylight Time. (NOTE: There’s a time change that weekend so make note of Eastern Daylight Time.)
- Be sure to keep track! (You could track your comments with tally marks on a sticky note.)
- After you leave at least 25 comments by Sunday evening, come back to this post and fill out the Google Form below. This must be done by 11:59 EDT on Monday, 3/12. Don’t forget, you will get one less hour due to Daylight Saving Time (EDT)!
- The winner will be chosen using a random number generator and announced in a separate post on Tuesday, 3/13 at 5:30 a.m.
- It is important to leave your information regarding the commenting challenge in the Google Form. You will notice that comments are closed for this post to ensure that all contenders input their information within the form and not inadvertently within the comment section.
